My work explores how perception creates meaning. Rooted in Gestalt philosophy, I am drawn to the ways people, places, and things combine to form experiences greater than the sum of their parts. Figures serve as conduits into imagined narratives, landscapes ground those stories in context, and still lifes transform ordinary objects into vessels of memory, meaning, and significance.
Through layered color, sensory detail, and emotion, I seek to capture moments of authenticity. My practice is both psychological and artistic. It is informed by an understanding of how we perceive, but expressed through the emotional resonance of painting. I aim to create work that invites viewers to pause, reflect, and imagine fresh stories within the familiar.
Reproductions are available upon request, and I am available for commissions.
